Alyssa + Marshall.

Alyssa and Marshall are the kind of couple that you just want to be around all the time. They make you feel welcome, and they are just EASY to be around. Their wedding last October, was one for the books. We loved getting to work on this day with them for almost a year!

The only thing they really wanted in their wedding day was good food, good drinks and for their guests to have an incredible night. I think we achieved that and more! Their wedding was simple, contemporary and elegant. The girls all wore white, and the men were decked out in classic black suits. Greenery graced every table and cascaded over the altar where the two became one. Alyssa was such a classic beauty in her Hayley Paige dress from The Dress Theory.

Also- stay tuned for part two of their wedding, the rehearsal dinner at The Sutler Saloon!

Thank you to all of the vendors that made this day possible!

Monday Moods.

Monday's are notoriously the worst day of the week. But I would like to change that, atleast for me personally. So in order to to do that, I need to think about things that make me happy, and beautiful, and inspired. So here is my shot at making your week brighter and more beautiful!

A brushstroke cake... why have I not seen this yet? I love browsing and seeing new trends that I have NEVER seen, because this makes me believe that my craft is real, and that my art is alive. Unending, and can always be new.  Photo courtesy of Kalabasa

Rainy Nashville Farm Wedding.

Alyse + Chip chose the beautiful Bloomsbury Farm to be the place where they would exchange their lives. The weekend was a rough one, about Wednesday of that week. a hurricane blew through the Florida coast and brought the rain and wind up into Nashville. The sun poke through just in time for the ceremony and through the first dance! The reception was clear for about half of it, by 9 pm, the rain was coming down hard, but nothing stopped this couple from enjoying their special day. AND they have beautiful pictures to show for it.

The florals by Kelsy Harms were stunning, aren't they? The bright pops of pink and white anemones against the blustery day were so contrasted!

I mean could a blustery, gale of a day get any more gorgeous? This lineup of vendors looks like a winning team to me. If you are in the Nashville area, any of these would be A+!

From the planner: "Getting the opportunity to take a real, truly wet wedding day and transform it into something beautiful was the greatest honor. We knew this storm was coming in, and there was absolutely nothing we could do about that. Luckily, we had some hookups with a wedding rental company, that was able to get us tents for the event two days before the wedding! What a relief that was! Sometimes you just can't help the weather, but we had an incredible backup plan and rain plan in place for such events like these! And this one paid off!" -Jordan of Totem Weddings + Events
